Western Ave Road Diet

We really enjoy reading good customer, Jeff Danna’s Main Street Beverly Blog that highlights “re-humanizing” our streets. We wondered what a road diet at 116th and Western might look like while adding dedicated bike lanes that connected us better with the neighborhood.

What we imagined..

• Dedicated bike lanes were created that linked Metra stations with Western Avenue
• 115th – 119th was only one lane of traffic each way
• Parking was restored to the east side of the street
